POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for an English language arts Teacher (ELA not ESL) to join our team at Exploring Scholar. This is an in this in person role where you will have the opportunity to inspire students through engaging lessons and hands-on learning experiences. Ideal candidates will have a full-time physics or teaching job during the day, or they will be in teacher’s college or in an education related field.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Teaching experiences in English Literature/ ELA in a North American curriculum are required.
• Confidence teaching ELA demonstrated during the selection process.
• Proficient in online teaching tools.

• Deliver high-quality lessons to small classes of students or through private tutoring.
• Prepare lessons within guidelines.
• Mark homework and assessments.
• Help promote students’ interests in the subject.
• Our classes are in person, with teachers in classes a minimum of 4 hours per week.
