Miss Math Tutoring has been at its East York location for 10 years, and in that time, our tutors have helped hundreds of students increase their confidence in mathematics and other subjects.
We are looking for new tutors to join our team for the new school year. In-person tutoring sessions take place at our tutoring centre, located at 2017 Danforth Avenue in Toronto (a 2-minute walk from Woodbine subway station).
Rather than doing homework with students, we focus on providing them with quality teaching, to help them truly understand mathematics. A great candidate will possess the ability to organize and follow through on a well-planned out, easy-to-understand lesson that engages the student and prepares them to answer the most difficult of questions. Miss Math Tutoring is looking for a committed, hard-working, upbeat and enthusiastic tutor who can teach mathematics to elementary math students.
A great candidate for this job must possess the following qualifications:
- Native fluency in English
- Teaching or tutoring experience
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum - You must be able to teach any combination of the following:
