About the Role As a Reading tutor at Braintrust Tutors, you'll work in person with K-5th Grade students to strengthen their reading comprehension, fluency, and critical thinking skills. You'll provide engaging, consistent lessons using Braintrust's curriculum and materials, helping students build foundational reading skills and confidence. What You Will Do Provide In-Person, small-group or 1:1 reading instruction to K-5 students Implement Braintrust's intervention programs as designed, using all materials with fidelity Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic performance Collaborate with the Braintrust Operations team and school staff to support student growth Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes focus and confidence Follow school-site procedures and policies while maintaining a professional and dependable presence Use provided assessments and progress monitoring tools for understanding to guide instruction Manage time effectively during sessions to complete all planned instructional activities What You Will Have Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field Active or expired teaching license Experience with advanced reading instruction that includes morphology-based word study, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, and writing skills covering grammar, syntax, and multi-paragraph composition using a structured scope and sequence.
