Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley is seeking candidates with food and beverage experience. We are looking for an In-Room Dining Server. This person will bring the dining experience to the guest’s room. They will provide attentive, exceptional, and anticipatory service, be knowledgeable of the menu and preparation methods, and attend to guest needs and requests with a sense of urgency.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order and deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room.
  • Transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner while ensuring proper food quality using a Resort golf cart.
  • Greet guests by name, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards.
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations.
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
  • Properly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
  • Take guest orders in the absence of order taker.
  • Plate and prepare small food items.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management.
  • Assist with service of food items
  • Assist with set-up and cleaning of operational areas.
  • Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in areas of Food & Beverage when needed.
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
