Description Lakeside Educational Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our In-School Counselor Program. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students' mental and emotional well-being in the William Penn School District - Penn Wood 9th Grade Academy School, helping them to identify and manage issues that may impact on their educational experience. The Ninth Grade Academy incorporates an instructional model that bridges the middle-level program and traditional high school model. Requirements Key Responsibilities: - Provide individual and group counseling to students to address mental and emotional challenges. - Actively listen to students and ask insightful questions to help them understand their problems. - Develop and implement strategies to assist students in improving their overall well-being and academic performance. - Work with families to provide support and resources as needed. Requirements: - Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work or other related fields. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff. - Experience in counseling or working with youth in an educational setting is preferred. - Knowledge of mental health issues and community resources. - Experience working within a school setting desired.
