Job Description & Summary: A career within Global Tax & Operations Responsibilities: Review of VAT returns for Middle east region with strong technical knowledge Work with business in understanding the queries and resolving them with respect to VAT Review data for completeness and accuracy; coordinate follow-ups as needed Help tax leaders identify the tax risks and recommend actions Drive change through transition of work for Clients from UAE location to global center including setting-up and expansion of tax COE Work with local leadership in developing the tax function Develop control checklist and ensure strong governance including checks on the quality of returns Support audit-related data collection and response preparation Contribute to software implementation/migration efforts and process improvement initiatives Mandatory skill sets: Strong background in UAE VAT and Indirect tax compliance Preferred skill sets: • Big 4 accounting firm or a large U.S.-based multinational corporation • • Familiarity with tax preparation and tools knowledge is preferred Years of experience required: 7 years minimum Education qualification: MBA/Postgraduate/LLB/Graduate Education (if blank, degree and/or field of study not specified) Degrees/Field of Study required: Chartered Accountant Diploma Degrees/Field of Study preferred: Certifications (if blank, certifications not specified) Required Skills Global Tax Optional Skills Accepting Feedback, Accepting Feedback, Accounting Practices, Active Listening, Communication, Corporate Tax Planning, Drafting Tax Documents, Emotional Regulation, Empathy, Financial Audit, Financial Review, Financial Statement Analysis, Inclusion, Intellectual Curiosity, Monitoring and Analyzing Financial Trends, Optimism, Preparing Tax Documents, Project Management, Regulatory Compliance Consulting, Regulatory Submissions Filing, Tax Accounting, Tax Auditing, Tax Compliance, Tax Credit, Tax Preparation {+ 4 more} Desired Languages (If blank, desired languages not specified) Travel Requirements Not Specified Available for Work Visa Sponsorship?
