Manager – Data Engineering (PwC) Job Summary: · As a Manager in the Data Engineering practice, you will lead teams and client engagements to design, architect, and deliver enterprise-grade data platforms. You’ll drive data modernization initiatives involving data lakes, warehouses, and lakehouses on Azure, AWS, and Databricks. This role demands strategic leadership, hands-on technical depth, and client management experience. · · Roles & Responsibilities: · · Architect and oversee end-to-end data engineering solutions for large-scale enterprise clients. · Design data lakehouse, data warehouse, and data integration frameworks using Azure, Databricks, and other cloud platforms. · Lead teams in building scalable, secure, and high-performing data pipelines. · Define best practices for data governance, lineage, quality, and cost optimization. · Collaborate with client leadership to shape data strategy and modernization roadmaps. · Provide technical mentorship to Senior Associates and Associates. · Manage project delivery, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. · Stay updated with emerging tools in data engineering and recommend adoption. · · Skills Required: · · 8–12 years of experience in data engineering with proven leadership in project delivery. · Strong expertise in Azure ecosystem (ADF, Databricks, Synapse, ADLS). · Experience designing and deploying data lakehouse and ETL architectures. · Hands-on knowledge of PySpark, SQL, Python, and cloud data architecture. · Working knowledge of AWS or GCP data services is a plus. · Strong understanding of data governance, security, and DevOps for data. · Excellent client management, communication, and leadership skills. · Cloud certifications (Azure Data Engineer, Databricks) preferred. · Mandatory skill sets: Azure Databricks/ADF Preferred skill sets: Azure Databricks/ADF Years of experience required: 7—12 Years Education qualification: B.E.(B.Tech)/M.E/M.Tech Education (if blank, degree and/or field of study not specified) Degrees/Field of Study required: Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Engineering Degrees/Field of Study preferred: Certifications (if blank, certifications not specified) Required Skills Microsoft Azure Databricks Optional Skills Accepting Feedback, Accepting Feedback, Active Listening, Analytical Thinking, Applied Macroeconomics, Business Case Development, Business Data Analytics, Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT), Business Intelligence Development Studio, Coaching and Feedback, Communication, Competitive Advantage, Continuous Process Improvement, Creativity, Data Analysis and Interpretation, Data Architecture, Database Management System (DBMS), Data Collection, Data Pipeline, Data Quality, Data Science, Data Visualization, Embracing Change, Emotional Regulation, Empathy {+ 29 more} Desired Languages (If blank, desired languages not specified) Travel Requirements Available for Work Visa Sponsorship?
