Job Description Overall understanding of the Auto Industry. Should be able to gather business intelligence for future projects and opportunities. Work on new initiatives and ensure timely support from Govt & Ministries. Should be proactive and well networked with the Industry and Govt circles. Ensure brand protection and contribute towards brand building activities in Govt circles and Industry associations. Gathering regulatory intelligence. In depth knowledge of the Regulatory process in the Automotive Industry. Understanding of regulation formulation process, role of Industry and Industry bodies. Should be able to evaluate the pros and cons of every regulation, with respect to opportunities and challenges for the Automotive Industry. Should be able to write Technical and Policy papers. Comparison and Benchmarking with International practices, should be able to suggest policy interventions to combat challenges Managing and gathering intelligence on operational issues. Should be able to support with licenses, clarifications, approvals and clearances. Should have the necessary awareness of the industry practices. Should be able to resolve open issues within a particular time period. Should have basic understanding of import/export and custom handling processes. Should be an effective communicator, should have the necessary capability of preparing presentations with relevant data and information. Soft spoken polite, humble and persuasive in approach. Should be an excellent team player. Qualifications Engineering Degree (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics) from a premier Institute, minimum 8 years of experience and knowledge of Automotive Policies and Regulations.
