Description

ABOUT MOSAIC PLAY ACADEMY

At Mosaic, we believe in a “play-inspired” approach to learning that empowers every child to become a confident, creative, and joyful learner. We are a nurturing and innovative after-school care provider in the East Coast, and we are excited to be launching a new, high-impact Inclusive Learning Program. We are looking for a passionate and empathetic individual to build this program with us from the ground up.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in pastoral care and student support, whose primary motivation is a deep passion for helping children succeed.

Experience: A background working with primary school-aged children with special needs, ideally within a government school or a recognized social service agency.

  • Personality: You are exceptionally patient, loving, and caring. You are a natural relationship-builder and a great listener.
  • Skills: Strong communication and coordination skills are essential. A background in social work, pastoral care, or special needs education is highly preferred over a traditional teaching qualification.
  • Mindset: You are an adaptable and proactive problem-solver, excited by the opportunity to build a new program and make a real difference in the lives of children and their families.
Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary liaison for families, building deep, trusting relationships and providing regular communication on their child’s progress.
  • Work alongside the team to implement and execute Individualized Support Plans (ISPs).
  • Lead small-group, specialized sessions designed to build confidence and address specific learning needs.
  • Coordinate with a network of educational therapists to provide seamless, integrated support.
  • Guide our existing after-school care teachers on best practices for creating a truly inclusive classroom environment.
  • Champion a culture of empathy, patience, and celebration of every child’s unique strengths.
