Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION/CRITERIA

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Inclusion Coach to join our Student Services team in a full-time capacity. 0.8 FTE could also be considered for the right candidate. This pivotal role focuses on supporting staff through coaching to meet the diverse needs of students with neurodevelopmental differences, including PDA, Autism (ASD), ADHD, and ODD. Coaching would involve modelling with teachers in the classroom setting by making PLP/ILPS into direction, actions and adjustments that really make a difference.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coach teachers on tactics and strategies for adjustments for neurodiverse students
  • Coach teachers on the use of resources and learning support staff to make adjustments to meet the needs of students
  • Part of the Student Services team and report to LDL
  • 3-4 afternoon sessions working with small groups on social and emotional skill development aimed at students with needs in this area
  • Attends some PSGs and consults with external services when required
