Description

We’re excited to be looking for an Income Recovery Specialist to join our busy Income team in Yeovil on a permanent basis.
You’ll be comfortable to speak with our customers whether this is over the telephone or face to face, in our offices or in their homes.
As you’ll be proactive in contacting our customers who have fallen into rent arrears, you’ll need to be able to deal with difficult, sensitive and challenging behaviour and situations in a calm and professional manner. You’ll use your initiative to problem solve when investigating their circumstances and negotiate repayment agreements. You’ll be able to identify the need to signpost to internal and external support if required.
Collaborative working and communication skills will all be essential as you’ll work with a range of stakeholders including DWP, local authorities, debt advice organisations and internal colleagues to make sure our customers receive the support they need.
An awareness of relevant housing legislation will be a must as you’ll prepare legal documents and represent Abri in court in support of possession of our properties. You’ll ensure that our income targets are consistently met, maximising our income whilst delivering an exceptional customer service.
If you’re looking for a fresh challenge and want to join a committed and high performing team, we’d love to hear from you!
Access to your own vehicle with a full and valid driving license is essential.
Interviews will take place week of 23 June 2025.
Abri is a large housing provider who own and manage over 55,000 homes and various community assets, serving more than 120,000 customers across the South of England.
We believe everyone has the right to a good quality safe, warm and sustainable home in a community where they can belong, grow and thrive. What does that look like in real terms?

We’re investing £689m over the next ten years in our existing homes to improve building safety and make them more energy efficient.

  • We’re delivering 10,000 homes by 2030, ensuring affordable housing is built where it’s needed most
  • We’re investing in our communities, to address local issues and create opportunities for everyone

As we grow, we’re re-establishing our strong local presence to provide a really good service. Abri has adopted a regional approach to service delivery, with our operating areas split into three, each with their local governance and leadership. This will ensure our colleagues are more visible, accountable and better connected to our customers and local communities to meet their diverse needs.
