Elval Colour was founded in 1977 and is a subsidiary of ELVALHALCOR Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry. Elval Colour has more than 40 years of experience in aluminium coating and colour matching solutions. Coils and strips can be produced in any colour to satisfy the most demanding aesthetic requirements along with several options of special functional coatings. At our factory located near Thiva, we operate liquid painting lines, electrostatic painting lines and aluminum passivation lines, as well as a unit to produce paints used in aluminum painting. We are looking for Incoming Materials Quality Engineer (Raw Materials) to join our team in our plant at Thiva, Viotia. Job Purpose Ensuring the proper and timely execution of incoming raw material inspections, their evaluation for release to production, the maintenance of the required records and samples, as well as the correct use of the MRP system for color management. The role involves technical evaluation and decisionmaking on material conformity. Responsibilities Performs timely inspections of materials received from the paint warehouse by preparing laboratory samples and carrying out the necessary measurements to ensure compliance of raw materials with technical specifications. Records reports for nonconforming materials (NonConformance Reports – NCR). Based on measurement results, either releases the material for use in production or informs the immediate supervisors when the material does not meet company requirements, so that appropriate corrective actions can be taken. Takes initiative to implement immediate and effective corrective measures, where required. Ensures the proper operation of the Laboratory. Checks and maintains the necessary measuring and testing equipment and uses it under appropriate working conditions. Qualifications Chemistry or Material science degree.
