SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Incoming Packaging Inspector to join our team in Canada. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our packaging processes, contributing to our mission of delivering top-notch personal care and cosmetic products.
Note: This is a contract roll to cover a maternity leave from 12-18 months.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or packaging role.
  • Strong understanding of quality management principles.
  • Familiarity with quality control and inspection techniques.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Experience with QA/QC processes is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of calipers and measurement tools is an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Secures receiver forms from Receiving for incoming packaging being held in Receiving.
  • Opens and inspects for defects, such as bad screening or broken containers, using an approved sampling plan and written SOP’s. This procedure is done in both warehouses.
  • Observes dimensional characteristics and reports deviations as required.
  • Records details of the shipment, such as Drug Tag Number, date, company, quantity, product and status.
  • Affixes an approval or hold stickers or stamps to containers and refers problems to the QC Manager.
  • Communicates with customer(s) as required
  • Follows up on shipments on hold and rejected to final disposition, including NCR requests.
  • Performs military standard sampling to define shipment defect levels as required.
  • Completes all packaging reports for the Quality Control Manager approval.
  • Pack, label, address, and send samples to customers for disposition.
  • Maintains receiver files and master standards.
  • Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Standards and follows plant policies and procedures.
