JOB SUMMARY

The Incoming Material Coordinator is responsible for managing all inbound goods, with a primary focus on receiving materials into the system along with inspecting them to ensure compliance with required specifications, drawings, standards, and measurement procedures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Minimum 2-year degree in a technical field required .ASQ or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years’ working experience in a manufacturing and testing environment. Experience in the electronics industry is a plus. Working knowledge of ERP system such as SAP is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Must have experience using electronic and mechanical testing equipment such as calipers, drop indicators, multimeters, and optical comparators
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specification documents
  • Must have a good working knowledge of using and referencing military and industry standards such as MIL-STD-98, J-STD-001, IPC-610
  • Must have a general knowledge of ASME Y14.5M, working knowledge of GD&T, and must understand the x, y, and z coordinate system.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of basic mathematical operations and perform measurement conversions
  • Basic understanding of statistical concepts needed for sampling inspection and process characterization.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP is a plus

Responsibilities
  • Perform First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) per AS9102 requirements aligned with customer flow down procedures and requirements for generating a proper FAIR.
  • Receive incoming materials into the system
  • Maintain the incoming material log by recording all incoming raw material parts, including batch number, purchase order number, part number, description, vendor, quantity received, inspection dates, and status.
  • Conduct visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections on incoming raw materials, performing all required tests.
  • Generate and document Receiving Inspection Reports (RIR) for all inspected incoming parts.
  • Initiate Material Review Board (MRB) actions for non-conforming raw materials to determine disposition.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual IMI reports tracking Lot Acceptance Rate (LAR) per supplier; communicate results with the Quality Manager.
  • Manage raw material transfers within SAP
  • Perform recertification procedures on expired raw and finished goods to extend shelf life.
  • Conduct steam-aging and solderability tests according to IPC J-STD-002 and MIL-STD-202 standards for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Use PLM to monitor drawing revisions, material updates, Qualified Approved Vendor (QAV) status, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Interpret and balloon engineering drawings and blueprints for inspection purposes.
  • Develop and update Quality Assurance Inspection Procedures (QAIPs) for raw materials following drawing revisions.
  • Create Detailed Inspection Procedures (DIPs) based on engineering drawings for raw materials.
  • Report any drawing discrepancies or errors to the engineering team.
  • Perform visual and mechanical inspections on in-process parts as needed.
  • Conduct Final Product Audits (FPA) on finished goods when required.
