The Storage & Backup Engineer will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of the latest and greatest OS and Virtualization technologies both on prem and in the public cloud. The colleague is expected to help evaluate and redesign our backup & storage environment to help ensure we are providing efficient and secure solutions. Demonstrated ability to: Facilitate the definition of backup/storage solutions to meet infrastructure requirements. Develop new and enhance existing backup/storage environments. Participate in long term systems and capacity planning, with transformation initiatives focused on reduced cost. Demonstrated ability to translate/communicate complex concepts to peers and business partners Provide technical leadership and/or management for small and medium-sized projects. Able to learn technical concepts quickly and apply them effectively in the workplace. Strong customer focused and results oriented attitude. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Exhibits decisiveness and good judgment even under ambiguous circumstances, in a timely manner. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent, with advanced degree in Business or Information Technology preferred 10+ years’ experience working with a variety of technology disciplines Experience with configuring, installing, managing, and monitoring storage/backup systems on prem and in the public cloud – AWS, Azure, Google. Experience with backup & storage products: Rubrik, Veeam, BackuExec, NetApp, Dell Storage arrays, SAN switches & routers, FSX(n), AF, ANF, NetApp CVO , etc. Experience managing Backup security, including participation in security-based audits, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Experience and strong understanding of data retention policies as they relate to various compliance and regulatory requirements. Experience with VMware, Unix 2579858
