Job DetailsGeneral Definition of Work: The individual contracted in this position is responsible for the operation of the Dolphin Swim Team between May 26, 2022, and July 8, 2022. Essential Functions: Lead swim practices, attend scheduled swim meets, prepare heat sheets for each meet, assist with the coordination of swim team volunteers, analyzing swim techniques and determining skill levels, educating swimmers on various techniques and styles, and preparing swimmers for swim meets. QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to provide leadership and earn the respect of program participants, establish successful working relationships with volunteers and the public, use good professional judgment, honesty, and integrity in decision making, must be able to interact with the public in a professional manner and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old or older. Current American Red Cross CPR/AED Training or earned by start date. Special Requirements Applicant is required to have program insurance that meets the requirements set by the City of Bonner Springs. Applicant will also need an Occupational License from the City of Bonner Springs. Previous experience coaching is preferred.
Responsibilities
The Swim Team Coach is responsible for leading swim practices, attending swim meets, and preparing swimmers for competition. Additionally, the coach will analyze swim techniques and assist with volunteer coordination.
