Compensation: In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary for this Colorado position is a rate of $23.37-$24.00 per hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law. Location: Arapahoe County and Douglas Counties Responsibilities: Assists in life coaching for our youth to become successful adults Focuses on assisting participants to identify needs, set goals, and establish a plan to become successfully independent Join youth on reality life tours such as college and housing tours Planning and facilitating bi-weekly life skills groups and monthly workshops Provide clients with guidance and support through various application processes Possess familiarity with current community resources and consistently explore new ones, identifying suitable referral sources Flexibility with their schedule and creative in meeting needs of participants, counties, and partnering agencies Transporting youth to and from appointments and groups Completing paperwork and billing requirements in a timely manner Extra Details: This position will require to work some nights/weekends as needed per participants’ needs Monday-Friday with once a month weekend events. A reliable vehicle is required in order to travel to and from participants’ locations. This position is offered individual and group supervision modalities weekly This position is provided extensive training with ongoing training opportunities Requirements Must have at least 2 years of college in a human services related field, or 2 years of college education with 2 years of professional experience in a human services or education related field. Applicants should demonstrate adaptability in their schedules to meet clients' availability and program expectations, including some evenings and minimum one Saturday a month. This position requires travel to participant locations, so a reliable vehicle is required. Must be able to meet agency’s MVR criteria Must hold a valid Colorado driver’s license Must be at least 23 years of age Applicants must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening as a condition of employment, in accordance with Colorado Department of Human Services regulations for child care facilities. This screening includes state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, sex offender registry searches, and abuse and neglect clearances. If the applicant has lived in any other state within the past five years, equivalent background and abuse/neglect checks from those states will also be conducted. In addition, all direct care applicants are required to complete a health evaluation or physical prior to beginning service to confirm they are fit for duty.
