Description ****Average hourly rate is $21.68 (including wage, incentives, bonuses, overtime, shift differential, etc.)**** Do you like working with older youth to promote self-sufficiency and skill building? We are looking for an Independent Living Specialist to add to our foster care service team! All you need is a High School diploma or GED and two years’ experience working with children and families. An associate degree in the Human Services field may be substituted for experience. Knowledge of the foster care system would be helpful but not required. We will teach you the rest! A Day in The Life as an Independent Living Specialist As an IL specialist you will work with older youth in foster care to ensure their planning and transition into young adulthood is successful. You will partner with case teams, placement providers and the youth to support their plans for school, living and employment beyond their time in foster care. You will help to ensure they have the skills needed to be successful in the future.
