Description ****Average hourly rate is $27.46 (including wage, incentives, bonuses, overtime, shift differential, etc.) **** The Independent Living Supervisor promote the well-being and successful transition to adulthood of adolescents in the Teens Reaching Adulthood and Independent Living (TRAIL) program. This role manages a caseload of youth residing in onsite apartments, supervises support staff, coordinates services with partnering agencies, and ensures high-quality, person-centered programming. Responsibilities include staff oversight, crisis support, documentation, service planning, and effective collaboration with contract agencies and community partners. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of adolescents in TRAIL apartments, coordinate with Therapeutic Case Managers and contract agencies. Ensure youth receive program orientation, have necessary household supplies, and participate in required independent living curriculum. Provide 24/7 on-call support, crisis intervention, and non-physical de-escalation assistance when needed. Support staff in maintaining a safe, structured, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Coordinate community resources to support employment, education, mentorship, and volunteer opportunities for youth. Make placement decisions based on referral information and youth interviews. Conduct apartment inspections to ensure safety and compliance. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate support staff, schedule coverage and lead staff meetings. Maintain collaborative relationships with public and private agencies; respond promptly to referrals. Complete required reports, documentation, and quality audits in accordance with agency standards. Model and teach essential life skills including communication, conflict management, budgeting, housekeeping, and personal organization. Assist with identifying and addressing service gaps within the program. Ensure financial procedures are followed, including coordination with the Finance Department on youth funds. Provide follow-up support post-discharge to ensure continued service accessibility. Perform basic clerical duties and maintain a clean, organized office environment. Transport youth or complete agency business as needed; maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Supervisory Responsibilities Interview, hire, train, and supervise assigned staff in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements. Provide monthly individual and group supervision and ongoing professional development. Monitor performance, address concerns, and implement corrective action when necessary. Ensure appropriate shift coverage and provide backup support as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in social work. Minimum age 25, per state requirements. Possess a valid driver's license and meet agency underwriting standards while driving agency vehicles and/or transporting clients.
