We are seeking a high-level, self-sufficient Mobile Diesel Mechanic to handle on-site repair calls for various trucking companies and owner-operators. This is a 1099 independent contractor position for a technician who can be dispatched to a location and handle the job from start to finish with zero supervision. The Work You will be dispatched to troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty trucks on-site. Common calls include: Coolant Systems: Diagnosing and repairing leaks, hoses, water pumps, and radiators. Air Systems: Finding and fixing air leaks and brake system issues. Starting/Charging: Troubleshooting and replacing starters, alternators, and batteries. DEF/Aftertreatment: Basic diagnostics and sensor issues. Requirements Equipment: Must have your own reliable vehicle and a full set of tools for heavy-duty truck repair. Independence: This is a 1099 role. You must be able to diagnose and execute repairs with minimal to no supervision. Experience: Proven track record with semi-truck and trailer mechanics.
