We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Independent Travel Trainer to join our School Services team here in Torbay. This vital role will play a key part in championing the educational outcomes, emotional well-being, and overall achievements of our most vulnerable children.
About the Role:
The aim is to support children and young people with their journeys to and from school. We want to help them develop the skills to do this and be safe, successful and independent. We use a total communication approach to support successful interaction. This provides a range of communication aids throughout training which are suited to the needs of the trainee. Before training commences, the post holder will liaise with parents/carers, social workers and tutors to ensure a person-centred approach.

THIS POST MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS FOR AN ENHANCED CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK. THIS WILL SHOW SPENT AND UNSPENT CONVICTIONS AND ADULT CAUTIONS WHICH HAVE NOT BEEN FILTERED IN LINE WITH LEGISLATION, PLUS ANY INFORMATION HELD BY LOCAL POLICE THAT IS CONSIDERED RELEVANT TO THE ROLE.
