Objective
The objective of the position of independent working chef at Brasserie Ambassade is to prepare our dishes from the classic French cuisine, presented with a modern twist. You will be responsible for your own section and work independently to create and perfect our signature dishes. Alongside the F&B team, you will ensure consistent and excellent service, ensuring guests return time and again.

Daily tasks

  • Quality control: Inspecting dishes for taste, presentation, and consistency before they are served to guests.
  • Mise en place: Preparing and organizing all ingredients and supplies for lunch and/or dinner.
  • Menu preparation: Independently preparing dishes according to restaurant recipes and specifications, with precision and quality being essential.

Projects

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the breakfast buffet in collaboration with the F&B team.

Teamwork and collaboration
Enthusiastically sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues.
An important point of contact for both guests and the team.

Qualifications and skills

  • Minimum of 2 years kitchen experience, preferably in a high-quality restaurant or hotel.
  • Knowledge of French cuisine: Experience with classic French cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors is essential.
  • Organizational skills: Ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize kitchen activities, including managing time and resources for optimal efficiency.
  • Resilience: The ability to work under pressure, maintaining high standards and delivering performance during peak hours and busy services.
  • Hygiene and safety: Strict adherence to hygiene and food safety standards to ensure the health of guests and team members.

Working conditions

  • The position requires flexibility in workdays and hours, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.
  • In the kitchen and in collaboration with the F&B team.

32-40 hours per week
Salary: from € 2548,- per month (based on 40 hours)
