Responsibilities

YOUR TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

The UK&I Index Client Coverage team is responsible for driving the growth of our Index business and leading engagement with asset management, wealth management, and custodian clients in the UK and Ireland. The team is focused on new business development and hunting for new logos, and the growth of and upselling into existing accounts. We follow a consultative sales approach and seek to gain a deep understanding of our clients’ investment processes, so that we can add value through our Index solutions across the different facets of the investment process. Team members occupy highly visible roles in a targeted, sales-driven environment and are involved in all aspects of sales and account management.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage with a range of clients and prospects in the asset management space to sell and promote MSCI’s suite of equity and fixed income indexes, including Climate and ESG indexes, Factor and Style indexes, Thematic indexes and Custom index solutions
  • Drive new business development, new client acquisition, competitor displacement and hunt for new logos
  • Outperform and exceed sales quotas, and drive ambitious revenue growth targets, in a competitive and high-performance environment
  • Manage a portfolio of existing client accounts, act as the face of MSCI to clients and handle various account growth and management duties:
  • Grow and expand the value of these accounts through upselling new Index products and contract renegotiations
  • Ensure that accounts are retained and renewed successfully and in a timely way
  • Engage collaboratively and consultatively with clients on their key investment objectives and position MSCI index solutions accordingly to meet those needs and translate into new sales
  • Solicit client feedback on new initiatives to help support future product development
  • Manage the sales and renewals pipeline to provide accurate sales forecasts and updates to management on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders at MSCI, including Research, Product Development, Legal, and Coverage Management
