Description
Responsible for the new projects launches in the European Region engaging external suppliers in early new product introduction phases. Ensure flawless launches on the new projects with support from Procurement and Supplier Quality & Development teams. Accountable for Supplier Quality Management Metrics Key Job Areas of Responsibilities Consolidate the Supplier Readiness dashboard in the validation phase for the new Turbocharger Projects (NPIs) Communicate to supplier and follow up the completion of Customer specific requirements (Ford Supplement K, CQ9 Audit,...) Communicate, and keep up to date, to Supplier Quality Process & Development organization the supplier milestones for pre-production and PPAP batches, any other relevant changes impacting the new components Monitor pre-production batch quality and ensure data are utilized for pro-active design/process problem resolutions Track Supplier pre-production batch and PPAP approval on the new components, under responsibility of Supplier Quality Process & Development engineers Escalate all the roadblocks on the new components which may jeopardize the flawless launches Perform internal PPAP documentation audits for the new components in the responsibility of Supplier Quality Process & Development Engineer Weekly and monthly Supplier Quality Management Metrics preparation and reporting Represent the Supplier Quality function in front of the internal and external Customers Responsible for improvement activities on Launch Supplier Quality Organization Education/ Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and significant work experience Experience Required Technical background in automotive industry Manufacturing plant and Production process experience Key Skills and Knowledge Fluent in English Project management skills Able to work with large databases to extract reports or perform data analysis Problem solving analysis skills with a logical and methodical approach (8D, 5Why, Cause/Effect Diagram, Root Cause) Personal flexibility to travel Teaming with other business functions to ensure that assigned suppliers are capable of new product launches Excellent communication & organizational skills Quality approach Garrett is a cutting-edge technology leader delivering differentiated solutions for emission reduction and energy efficiency.
