Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Indian Line Cook to join our team in a south Indian Restaurant. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in preparing a variety of Indian dishes, such as curries, tandoori items, and biryanis. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have knowledge of food safety and sanitation, and be able to multitask effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items with consistency and accuracy
  • Follow recipes and specifications to ensure consistent quality of dishes
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, wiping down surfaces, and sweeping and mopping floors
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with the team and work collaboratively to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Indian cuisine and spices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Good to have some equivalent experience

Availability: 6 days/week
Work Term: Permanent
