About the role We are looking for Security Officers to join our high-performing team working onsite at Defence bases. This position plays a critical role in protecting Defence personnel, assets, and infrastructure through proactive patrols, access management, and maintaining a strong on-site presence. Don’t have a Security Licence? MSS will help you get one. Your duties typically would be: Access Control - Monitoring entry and exit points to ensure only authorised personnel are permitted on site. Foot Patrols - Conducting regular patrols to maintain situational awareness and deter potential threats. Stakeholder Liaison - Building rapport with Defence personnel, contractors, and visitors while delivering a strong security presence. Incident Response - Reacting promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious behaviour. Compliance Monitoring - Ensuring site protocols and Defence security procedures are always followed. Reporting & Documentation - Accurately recording incidents, shift activities and observations in accordance with site requirements.
