PROFESSIONAL/TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
Reporting to the Director, Indigenous Health, the Indigenous Health Integration Lead supports strengthening the capacity and knowledge to respond to Indigenous specific racism and the provision of culturally safe, respectful, and racism-free healthcare services. The Indigenous Health Integration Lead is an important contributor to system change by consulting and participating in knowledge translation of evidence and foundational documents into program development, strategy, practice and policy at Fraser Health. This position supports health system transformation, where evidence is converted to knowledge and knowledge informs practice, strategy and policy in a continuous cycle of improvement. The Indigenous Health Integration Lead is a highly collaborative and engaging role; you will work closely with First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities and partners, internal leads and clinical teams to embed Indigenous perspectives, needs and priorities into population health, the health system and the delivery of health services within Fraser Health.
The Indigenous Health Integration Lead may support multiple health care delivery settings including Seniors, Complex Care and/or Long Term Care settings.
Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Allied Health and/or other relevant clinical discipline including training and/or experience in health service delivery and research, and knowledge translation and exchange. A minimum of 5 years’ recent related clinical experience working within a relevant clinical setting in health services or delivery; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
