This role requires the successful candidate to maintain a Working with Children Check The successful candidate can apply for the WWCC as part of the onboarding process. In the case the selected candidate doesn’t have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and Pilot PhD Familiarisation Program: Create and implement a culturally safe and supportive program for prospective Indigenous graduate researchers across STEM and HASS disciplines.
  • Provide Tailored Support: Serve as a key contact for prospective Indigenous candidates, offering guidance and warm engagement to navigate university processes and pathways.
  • Collaborate Across the University: Work with Murrup Barak, faculty staff, and Chancellery to align program delivery with institutional goals and growing research expertise.
  • Manage Program Logistics: Oversee participant engagement, program promotion, travel, and accommodation for the familiarisation program.
