*Salary - Depending on Qualifications* JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for indigent interviews for the Public Defender’s office, State Court, Juvenile Court and Family Law Information Center.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    This position is responsible in assisting the public, answering phones, attending court proceedings, creating and maintaining excel reports.  Receiving and tracking payments and contracts, processing attorney complaints, receiving and processing invoices.   This position is also responsible for verifying assets on applications, responding to inmate letters, preparing appointment orders for judges, accessing and entering attorney information on ICON, entering daily entries of appearance for all criminal cases in Hall County, preparing and mailing approval/denial letters to defendants, preparing daily emails to jail for inmate interviews, and completing all filing for defendants files.  This position is responsible for tracking indigent defense coverage for State Court proceedings. Preparing calendars and attending court proceedings for State and Superior court. Preparing, sending, and tracking all new Public Defender clients. Maintains Public Defender report. Prepares deposits and maintains deposit report.  Helps track attorney invoices on excel reports. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Perform other related duties as assigned.   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  Education and Experience: Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Paralegal Studies, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field is required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.   Experiential requirements including three years of office experience and/or any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills.    Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office.
