Description
We are seeking a Senior Document Specialist (Funder) in our Indirect Auto Lending Department! This role directs the workflow of the Indirect Lending funding team on a daily basis, assists with the training of newer team members, as well as performs additional duties to manage and measure the performance of the funding team, while also ensuring accuracy of documentation, and compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures.  Role Responsibilities: 1. Direct the daily workflow of the funding team – assigning loan packages to individual team members and ensuring that service levels are being met.  2. Train newer team members and provide guidance surrounding policy and procedure related questions.  3. Participates in the Indirect Lending Quality Control Process, which assists in identifying potential areas of risk – such as reputational, compliance/audit risk, and member impact. 4. Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting, including but not limited to the reconciliation of dealer reserve amounts. 5. Approve wire transfer requests generated by team members for dealer funding. 6. Perform the quality control, funding, and booking processes on all indirect consumer loan closing packages. 7. Ensure that all pertinent loan data, member and collateral information are appropriately entered into the Loan Origination System.  8. Ensure that all required disclosures and documents are included and have been executed properly.  9. Ensure all contracts received are logged into the funding queue in a timely fashion. This includes both electronic and physical contract packages. 10. Create and open statement accounts for new Indirect Lending members. 11. Ensure compliance with Coastal1's Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Policy and related procedures, Member Identification Program, and Office of Foreign Assets Control screening and record keeping requirements. 12. Alert dealership personnel of any funding delays and work directly with dealership personnel to resolve in a timely manner. 13. Process teller transactions which may include new loan disbursements, general ledger disbursements and credits, etc. 14. Assist others in the Indirect Lending department as needed. 15. Qualifications: * Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required. * At least 3 years demonstrated successful loan processing/servicing related experience. Previous experience in a banking or indirect lending environment a plus. * At least 2 years of supervisory experience or a track record of demonstrated leadership ability. * PC Proficiency to include Microsoft Office and assorted banking software. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. * Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with time management/organizational/multi-tasking skills. * Must be able to sometimes work under pressure and have the ability to meet deadlines. * Ability to maintain a positive and upbeat Credit Union image. * Ability to handle confidential information securely. * Ability to work collaboratively across all levels and functions of Coastal1 to coordinate solutions. * Bi-lingual helpful.
