Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical/engineering discipline (Mechanical/Aerospace preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of contracts and business administration through education or work experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a technical environment
  • Proven track record of ability to work autonomously under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Quick learner and adaptable to new challenges
  • Independent thinker and problem solver

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or other relevant business qualification
  • Experience in Procurement / Supply Chain management
  • Proficiency in French or German
Responsibilities

While our Spacecraft Nyx may take center stage, there are many other goods and services which we require to perform our tasks at The Exploration Company to make Nyx fly. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Bundling demands across many different indirect commodities (IT equipment, licenses, consumables, electronics components) to ensure demands are met efficiently
  • Collaborating with colleagues from the AIT (assembly, integration and test) department to support them in purchasing machines, ground support equipment and related tools / fixtures.
  • Support Avionics team in purchasing specific components and equipment.
  • Identifying volumes or opportunities in the different categories that could generate cost reduction by negotiating with vendors.
  • Own the supplier interface for all the above categories, cultivating your own relationships with them and adding new ones to the mix if you see a strategic advantage.
  • Generation of purchase order on ERP and invoice processing for these items. Follow-up till the item is delivered.
