Indirect Procurement (IP) is a Finance function dealing with the purchases of goods and services not directly involved in product manufacturing like raw materials. Its scope covers Logistics & Transportation, Marketing & Communication, Property & Facilities, Human Resources, General Services, Professional Services, Travel & Events, Marketing & POS, IT & Telecom. Your role @Chanel: This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organization. In the position of Indirect Procurement Intern, you will be at the heart of the procurement activities of Chanel Switzerland and Swiss Markets (Switzerland, Panama, Mexico, Brazil, India) working on all Divisions (Fashion, Fragrances & Beauty, Watches & fine Jewelry) and Corporate activities. You will provide essential support in the evolvement of the Procurement function and its tools, sharing best procurement practices and work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their business requirements and how they can be met. This role will be supporting business teams on the management of the procurement process, from strategic sourcing, professional negotiation, contract management, vendor performance, risk assessment, and overall category management. You will be expected to provide reporting on the performance of projects and to ensure the relevant documentation is provided to the Regional and Global IP team. What impact you can create at Chanel: Lead sourcing and tendering process: Sourcing projects and RFI (Request for Information) ensuring collaboration with internal business partners Support business partners in the definition of specifications & requirements Preparation and launch of tenders/RFP (Request for Proposals) Analyze and negotiate proposals/quotes with suppliers and business partners Award supplier, implement legal agreements & report benefits Improve overall Procurement & Sustainability Performance: Identify spend optimization & supplier panel rationalization opportunities Define and implement Preferred Supplier List with business partners and suppliers Conduct financial and spend analysis and prepare professional negotiation Monitor Risk Management and Sustainable Procurement trough different tools and initiatives Enrich our P2P platform : Create together with business partners and suppliers relevant catalogues (hosted & punch-out) Clean and enrich the preferred supplier database Improve procurement processes Ad hoc requests What you will bring to the role: Bachelor or Master’s degree or Recent Graduate in Procurement, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or similar. Responsibilities
