This role is for one of our clients Industry: Human Resources Seniority level: Associate level Min Experience: 1 years Location: Surat JobType: full-time \n \n ₹6,60,000 - ₹8,40,000 a year We are seeking a proactive Indirect Tax Compliance & Litigation Analyst (GST) to manage critical GST compliance operations and support litigation and advisory activities for our clients. This role involves handling end-to-end GST processes including filing, reconciliations, departmental communication, audits, and refund management. You will collaborate with finance, advisory, and technology teams to strengthen compliance accuracy and develop efficient, technology-enabled workflows. This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Accountant looking to build deep domain expertise in GST litigation, advisory support, and modern tax technology adoption. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle GST compliance, including monthly and annual GST return filing (GSTR-1, 3B, 9, 9C, etc.). Conduct reconciliations such as GSTR-2B vs books, GSTR-1 vs 3B, and other financial reconciliations. Prepare, file, and track GST refund applications and documentation packages. Draft responses to departmental queries, notices, audit comments, and assessments. Support GST litigation matters by preparing submissions, collating evidence, and participating in hearings. Coordinate with internal teams and clients for data collection, issue resolution, and status updates. Maintain strong documentation and compliance records to meet audit and statutory requirements. Assist advisory teams in researching GST provisions, recent case laws, and rule amendments. Work with technology teams to improve automation, data accuracy, and workflow efficiency. Monitor industry and regulatory changes to ensure updated compliance practices. What Makes You a Strong Fit Qualified Chartered Accountant with interest in indirect taxation. Strong working knowledge of Indian GST laws, filing procedures, audit processes, and compliance controls. Experience in GST return filing, reconciliations, refund processes, or litigation support (preferred but not mandatory). Excellent analytical ability and comfort working with spreadsheets and financial data. Strong communication skills for client interaction and departmental correspondence. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. Detail-oriented, organized, and accountable approach to documentation and deliverables. Preferred Skills Exposure to compliance tools, ERP systems, and tax automation platforms. Experience handling GST audits, appeals, or legal research. \n
