WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Flutter Group Tax Team are handled by the Tax Director, who reports directly into the Group’s CFO, and leads a high profile tax function based in the Flutter Group’s offices in London, Dublin, Leeds and the Isle of Man. The Group, comprising of various well established brands such as Paddy Power, Betfair, SkyBet, PokerStars, FanDuel and Sportsbet, operates in a wide number of international locations. The Tax Team works closely with the business to lead the Group’s tax affairs across all locations and tax heads, encompassing compliance as well as structuring/advisory.

We are looking for an Indirect Tax Manager to join our team. The role will report to the Senior Manager and will be involved with all aspects of indirect tax matters.

  • Supervising and understanding local and international VAT issues, including dealing with new VAT/GST rules.
  • Leading VAT projects and working with the wider tax team and business stakeholders to ensure outcome is achieved.
  • Assisting and running VAT queries or audits.
  • Assisting with the implementation and monitoring of our operating structures.
  • Communicating advice optimally and clearly to stcollaboratorsn the business and ensuring all advice is implemented accurately and in line with the Tax Team strategy
  • Working with the team to proactively promoting awareness of indirect tax issues across the Group and building relationships with key stakeholders in all jurisdictions to achieve that goal
  • Working closely with the Transfer Pricing team and Group Finance to ensure the operating model is implemented and accounted for accurately from a VAT perspective
  • Dealing with day to day indirect tax issues arising within the business ranging from VAT treatment of invoices or assisting with the VAT technical analysis of issues.
  • Review and sign off of certain VAT compliance.
  • Systems support and Reviewing contracts from a VAT perspective

HOW YOU’LL DO IT

  • Tax/accounting qualified professional with proven experience in industry or practice.
  • Strong understanding of Irish, UK and EU VAT legislation.
  • Excellent digital literacy skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills, and curiosity about understanding and resolving systems issues.
  • Experience of project work.
  • Oracle experience an advantage.
  • Business and financial acumen.
