Description

1. INDIVIDUAL GIVING PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT

Oversee and manage all aspects of individual giving, including online appeals, direct mail operations, in-memory donations, lottery, legacy giving, major donors and regular gifts. Ensure that all activities align with Hope Rescue’s mission, values, and strategic objectives.
2. Strategy Development
Develop a comprehensive individual giving fundraising strategy that will grow current activity and build a sustainable income plan that will achieve long-term income growth aligned with the charity’s income generation goals.
3. Campaign Management
Working closely with the Marketing and Communications team, project-manage high value targeted and cost-effective direct marketing campaigns with engaging and inspiring content (including direct mail and digital fundraising) to secure cash donations, regular givers and legacy pledgers, including creating detailed evaluation reports which make recommendations to improve future performance.
4. Regular Giving Development
Promote the impact of regular gifts and implement a strategy to increase regular giving, ensuring recognition and acknowledgment at key milestones. Work closely with the Donor Support Officer to ensure proper stewardship and communication with regular givers.
5. Lottery Management
Lead the charity’s Lottery activity, developing strategies to grow lottery income and identify new opportunities.

8. SUPPORTER JOURNEYS

Develop supporter journeys that are based on data and supporter insight, to ensure that all supporters have an exceptional experience, with improvements tracked and aligned with team processes.
9. Performance Monitoring
Produce monthly reports for individual giving fundraising income streams, monitoring progress against KPIs and objectives. Regularly assess performance and adjust plans to ensure targets are met and strategies are optimised.
10. Budgeting and Financial Planning
Set and achieve income targets across individual giving in line with the annual operational plan, actively managing the individual giving budget and ensuring cost efficiencies and good ROI. Identify growth opportunities and cost-saving strategies for efficient resource allocation.
11. Process and Documentation
Create, review, and maintain all processes and procedures related to individual giving fundraising. Ensure accurate record-keeping in the Beacon CRM database.
12. Volunteer Engagement
Collaborate with the Volunteer Manager to recruit, engage, manage, and support individual giving volunteers, ensuring they contribute effectively to fundraising efforts and the overall success of the charity.
13. Collaboration
Collaborate across the Income Generation Team and other departments to identify opportunities to deliver interconnected themed campaigns and appeals to enhance loyalty and supporter journeys that maximise life-time value of supporters. Share insights, support wider team initiatives, and contribute to collective goals to maximise income.
14. Team Culture and Development
Actively contribute to team meetings, strategy development, and collaborative efforts, promoting a positive and effective team culture.
15. Health and Safety
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures in line with Hope Rescue and statutory standards and rules, ensuring the safety of all persons and pets on and off site at all times.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Good understanding of the Individual Giving landscape in the UK charity sector.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of fundraising legislation and industry standards, fundraising compliance, and data protection regulations,
  • The ability to demonstrate a strategic approach to develop and drive plans forward ensuring that deadlines and agreed targets are achieved.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to keep clear and accurate records and to present them in an effective way.
  • Good IT skills with a knowledge of Microsoft packages and willingness to learn Hope Rescue’s CRM systems and databases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including good presentation skills and the confidence to deliver information in a concise and positive manner.
  • Ability to utilise social media, website and email broadcast tools to share our message and recruit support.
