POSITION SUMMARY

As the individual giving manager of Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, you will play a crucial role in the growth of the annual fund, focusing on the cultivation and stewardship of individual donors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the organization’s donor acknowledgment program, implementing an omnichannel fundraising strategy, and exploring affinity group potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Annual Fund Growth:

  • Develop and execute an annual fund fundraising strategy and plan, utilizing various platforms, prospect research, data analysis, and communication channels to reach and engage donors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with individual donors through personalized communication and engagement strategies.
  • Implement creative and thoughtful ways to express personalized appreciation to donors to ensure donor retention and increased giving over time.
  • Work collaboratively with the development and marketing teams to align cultivation efforts with overall fundraising and audience objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to identify, recruit, and engage donors with shared interests and passions related to ballet.
  • Serve as a charismatic and welcoming presence at PBT performances and events, actively supporting and enhancing the organization’s hospitality and engagement efforts.

Administrative:

  • Ensure timely and accurate gift entry and acknowledgment processing within Tessitura to support efficient donor stewardship and recordkeeping.
  • Develop and maintain online donation forms and automated acknowledgments using Donate2 and Prospect2, ensuring a seamless and donor-friendly giving experience.
  • Manage fulfillment of benefits and deliverables for donors, sponsors, and institutional funders.
  • Contribute to goal setting, proposal preparation, strategy development, and stewardship for donors, sponsors, and institutional funders.
  • Contribute to planning and executing various fundraising, cultivation, and stewardship events, such as galas, receptions, and studio visits.

Other related functions and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of relevant professional fundraising, donor relations, and/or sales experience with demonstrated results.
  • Knowledge of and passion for the arts.
  • Ability to think and work creatively and strategically.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to advance projects and goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with both donors and staff.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with attention to accuracy and detail
  • Demonstrated strong writing and editing skills with ability to develop proposals, reports, correspondence, and presentations.
  • Ability to manage a variety of responsibilities under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Team player with positive attitude
  • Proficiency in Windows, Office and/or G-suite
  • Familiarity with donor databases and/or CRM systems. Experience with Tessitura is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, particularly weekends and evenings.
  • Access to transportation for travel to meetings and appointments.
