We are currently working with a vibrant primary school in the Worthing area, known for its strong community spirit and commitment to nurturing every child’s potential. This school is looking for a dedicated Individual Needs Assistant to join their team and provide tailored support to pupils with additional learning, emotional, or behavioural needs.

ABOUT THE ROLE – WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

As an Individual Needs Assistant, you will be providing 1:1 and small group support to children who need extra help with their learning, emotional regulation, and social development. You will be instrumental in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, ensuring they feel safe, confident, and included in all activities. You’ll work closely with teachers and other staff to implement personalised support plans and ensure pupils make progress both academically and emotionally.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively
  • Assisting pupils with emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviours
  • Encouraging pupil engagement and boosting their confidence to participate in classroom activities
  • Providing tailored support during lessons, breaks, and extra-curricular activities
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to track pupil progress and share feedback
