Position Summary  The individual will assist the Morris Wetland Management District and Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge with visitor services and outreach activities. Main duties include helping with outreach activities, connecting with local communities, and providing quality educational opportunities for summer groups. The individual will also focus on maintaining high public uses areas and infrastructure through mowing, weed trimming, painting, and updating information panels. Location  Morris, MN Schedule  May 11, 2026 - August 14, 2026 Key Duties and Responsibilities  wildlife interpretation; community engagement; visitor services; mowing around kiosks throughout several counties as well as headquarters lawns and weed trimming around kiosks and observation decks; painting kiosks; litter pickup   Marginal Duties  completing StoryMaps and other success story writeups; creative writing; photography   Required Qualifications  At least 2 years of college in an environmental degree program or 3 years of experience in environmental education. This SCA Position is authorized under the Public Land Corps Authority. All participants must be between the ages of 16 and 30, inclusive, or veterans age 35 or younger. Participants must also be a citizen or national of the United States or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States. Hours served can be applied toward the Public Land Corps (PLC) hiring authority.   Preferred Qualifications  painting   Hours  40 per week   Living Accommodations  The selected individual will have to find their own living accommodations.
