Also assists in collecting data, organizing materials, and implementing strategies consistent with the social learning model of the program. WORK HOURS: Full-time, 8:00 A.M.-3:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, following the school calendar. Location: 108 E Willow St, Normal (Hammitt on Willow) or 612 Oglesby, Normal (Hammitt on Oglesby) Must have high school diploma and have IL paraprofessional license or able to obtain upon hire Pay: paid year-round, even over school breaks! Hourly/non-exempt, starting at $15.82 per hour, more based on experience, certification, and education. New: $1,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants Responsibilities: Implement Instructional Program: Assists in implementing activities related to the behavioral/education program. The implementation of the activities will be under the direction of the certified staff. Assists certified staff with behavioral and crisis intervention with students. Progress Reporting: Assists in collecting and preparing behavioral data on each child to be used in establishing and evaluating individual educational programs. Organize, Inventory, and Prepare Instructional Equipment: Responsible, under the direction of the certified staff, for preparing and organizing materials needed for the daily lesson plan implementation, including reading the lesson plans ahead of time, determining which materials are to be used, setting up, and organizing materials at the beginning and end of the day. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Paraprofessional license with the State of Illinois preferred or will required to obtain upon employment. Highly Preferred: One year of experience working with children with autism and/or developmental disabilities Must be able to implement non-violent physical crisis intervention techniques according to The Baby Fold's physical management and crisis intervention procedures.
