About the Company Write Edge is a English enrichment centre specialising in writing and language programmes for Primary and Secondary students, with small class sizes and a structured curriculum designed to build strong English foundations. About the Role We’re on a mission to become the leading English & Writing specialist in the region, starting with scaling Write Edge Indonesia. We’re looking for a General Manager (Indonesia) who is an operator: commercial, hands-on, structured, and obsessed with execution. You will own growth, operations, and profitability for Indonesia, while protecting a premium parent experience. Responsibilities A) Growth & Revenue (Commercial Ownership) Own Indonesia growth targets (student numbers, revenue) with a weekly and monthly execution cadence Improve funnel performance (lead quality, lead→trial booked, cost per trial, trial→enrol conversion) Build growth channels beyond paid ads: partnerships, parent communities, referrals, schools/consultants Execute workshops/seasonal campaigns as conversion levers into regular classes B) Operations & Parent Experience (Premium Delivery) Own parent experience end-to-end: response speed, clarity, follow-ups, issue resolution, retention Build and maintain the operating system: tracking, SOPs, weekly reporting, and process hygiene (no dropped leads/issues) Manage day-to-day coordination across enrolment ops, teachers, class scheduling, and trials C) Team Leadership & Capacity Scaling Hire, train, and manage local team members (enrolment ops, teachers, support roles) Forecast capacity: class optimisation, teacher allocation, when to open/close classes Maintain high teaching quality in partnership with the Senior Teacher / Academic Team D) Business Management & Financial Discipline Own Indonesia P&L: budgeting, cost control, pricing hygiene, and monthly forecasting Manage vendor relationships (marketing agencies, tools, ops vendors) Ensure compliance / admin hygiene across payments, invoicing, documentation, and data protection Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or related field (Master’s is a bonus) 5+ years experience in a leadership role with clear ownership of outcomes (growth/ops/P&L preferred) Strong commercial instincts: can run conversion funnels, numbers, and execution rhythm Experience in education/edtech/enrichment is a plus, but operator skill matters more than industry Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and strong working proficiency in English Based in Jakarta (or able to be in Jakarta regularly) Other Details Location(s): Jakarta (Hybrid/Remote) Commitment Period: Full-Time Working Hours: 4 weekdays + 1 weekend: 9am - 6pm Why Choose Write Edge?
