JOB CONTEXT

Servest Office Services, a division of the Servest Group has an open vacancy for an Indoor Plant Specialist. This position is responsible for the holistic well-being of indoor spaces including care of both plants and water cooler systems. This role involves expertise in horticulture, plant care and technical proficiency in water cooler technology. The specialist is tasked with creating and maintaining a healthy, aesthetically pleasing indoor environment by integrating the care of indoor plants and water cooler systems.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric/ Grade 12
Qualification in Horticulture, Botany or a related field
Experience in plant care, horticulture, plumbing and water cooler technology
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and train a team effectively
Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards for both indoor plants and water cooler systems
This position requires a diverse skill set, including horticultural expertise, technical proficiency, and a commitment to creating healthy and aesthetically pleasing environment.

Responsibilities:

In conjunction with KAM’s and Sales Consultants, conduct consultations with clients to understand their preferences for both indoor plants and water cooler systems.
Provide expert advice on the selection and placement of suitable indoor plants and water cooler units based on client needs.
Guide and lead installation teams to install and arrange indoor plants to enhance the interior design and atmosphere of various indoor environments.
Assist operations to develop and implement comprehensive and efficient service schedules and practices for indoor plants and water cooler systems.
Conduct regular training programs for technicians covering plant care, water cooler installation, and maintenance of plants and water coolers.
Monitor and maintain water quality standards in water cooler systems, through quality checks to ensure regular cleaning and sanitization was done by the technicians.
Educate clients on the benefits of indoor plants, water cooler technology, and proper usage and maintenance of both systems.
Stay informed about industry standards for plants, water quality, and safety protocols.
Conduct quality control inspections on records for plant and water cooler inventory, service schedules and maintenance activities.
Generate reports on the health and condition of indoor plants, water quality and system performance for clients as well as management.
