SUMMARY

We are seeking a technically proficient Industrial Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing and expanding relationships with existing clients, and collaborating closely with our inside sales support team. You will work with customers to understand their specific needs, select the right products, and provide expert guidance on the best solutions for their industrial manufacturing processes

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in industrial manufacturing companies. Act as the primary point of contact for your accounts, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your assigned territory. Develop a strong pipeline of potential clients and work to convert leads into long-term partnerships.
  • Technical Consultation: Leverage your technical background to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate electric heating and temperature control products. Assist customers in the selection process and provide detailed product specifications.
  • Industrial Control Systems: Utilize your experience with industrial control concepts to specify and recommend control systems that meet customer needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the inside sales support team to ensure seamless communication and coordination between internal departments. Align on strategies to meet customer needs and achieve sales targets.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. Share market insights and collaborate with the sales team to drive overall business success.
  • Product Expertise: Stay informed about the latest product offerings, industry trends, and technological advancements. Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers as needed.
  • Quotations & Proposals: Prepare and present detailed quotations and proposals that meet customer needs while ensuring profitability for the company.
  • Travel: Travel within your assigned territory to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and represent the company at industry events

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Sales Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector. Experience working with or leading a sales support team is a plus.
  • Industrial Control Systems: Experience with industrial control concepts and specifying control systems is highly desirable.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic geometry, algebra, dimensional measurement, and unit conversion.
  • Electrical Knowledge: A basic understanding of electricity is a plus, preferably including hands on experience with electrical systems.
  • Industrial Distribution: An understanding of industrial distribution in a B2B environment is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly and persuasively.
  • Customer Focus: Proven track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly in a support and sales environment.
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and achieve sales targets with minimal supervision.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel within the designated territory. Occasional international travel may be required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Technical Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or progressive technical experience working with electrical or control systems is required.

  • Proficient with a personal computer, word processing programs, and spreadsheets and ability to type.

  • Detail-orientated, organized, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to communicate effectively via verbal and written communication with a diverse population of people (co-workers, managers, and customers).

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Experience providing customer service for a technical manufactured product.
