Description
An Assembler is responsible for putting together component parts or pieces according to a specified set of drawings and shop order. They ensure the correct quantities of components are used, verify the quality of completed items, and use hand tools and mechanical equipment to produce structurally sound products. Affixes a variety of sub-assemblies to inside of enclosures and products following drawing layouts, verbal, and written instructions. Uses pneumatic and manual hand tools to secure the component parts as appropriate. Labels enclosures with appropriate product information. Checks quality of assembled parts and finished enclosure. Properly package and palletize finished product. Perform 1st article and required in process quality checks. Performs 5S & Continuous Improvement activities. Follow all safety guidelines and wear necessary protective gear. Cross train others as needed. Additional duties as assigned. Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product. High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. Experience using basic measurement devices such as a tape measure. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered. Experience in a machine shop/sheet metal processing manufacturing environment. Assembly or subassembly experience in a production environment Experience reading blueprints. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to stand for eight hours plus and perform repetitious tasks. Ability to read and understand prints and shop drawings. Ability to follow directions, work independently, and pay close attention to detail. Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate. Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business.
