QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Automation/Mechatronics Engineering (or related).
  • 3–7 years of experience in industrial automation and machine installation.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of HMI/SCADA software (WinCC, Wonderware, Ignition, etc.).
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC-UA).
  • Knowledge of electrical panels, VFDs, servo drives, and instrumentation.
  • Experience in factory automation projects (FMCG, packaging, automotive, food & beverage, oil & gas preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

PREFERRED (NICE-TO-HAVE) SKILLS:

  • Experience in robotics (ABB, KUKA, FANUC, Yaskawa).
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0, IIoT, and smart manufacturing solutions.
  • Familiarity with MES/ERP integration.
  • International project commissioning experience.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE - PREFERRED FOR IMMEDIATE JOINERS:

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Automation Engineer to join our team . The candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and commissioning factory automation systems and machines, ensuring seamless integration with production processes. The role requires strong expertise in PLC programming, SCADA/HMI systems, industrial networking, and machine troubleshooting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead installation, commissioning, and testing of factory automation equipment and machinery.
  • Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi, etc.).
  • Integrate sensors, actuators, drives, and robotic systems with machines.
  • Conduct I/O checks, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
  • Ensure safety systems and interlocks are properly installed and tested.
  • Prepare wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with mechanical/electrical teams for machine integration.
  • Provide operator training and create standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Troubleshoot automation issues, minimize downtime, and implement improvements.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Stay updated on the latest industrial automation technologies (IIoT, Industry 4.0, robotics).
