JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Automation Engineer to lead the development, integration, and optimization of automation technologies in our high-tech production environment. This role focuses on industrial software systems, robotics, process automation, and data-driven system improvements. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in SCADA, ERP, and industrial control systems and understands how to optimize automated workflows and integrate software-driven solutions across the operation.

EDUCATION

• A degree at HBO/WO (higher professional education/university level) in one of the following fields (or a related discipline): Engineering (with a focus on industrial automation or embedded systems)
• Industrial Automation & Control Systems
• Computer Science (with expertise in SCADA, PLC programming, or ERP software)
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (with a focus on automation and robotics)

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of experience in software-driven automation within a high-tech production environment.
• Proven expertise in SCADA, PLC programming, and ERP system integration.
• Experience in robotics, machine learning for automation, and software-driven process control.
• Knowledge of industrial networking

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Industrial Automation: Expertise in SCADA (CAS, Ignition, etc.), PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), and ERP software, AutoCAD.
• System Integration & Networking: Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, etc.).
• Cloud & Edge Computing: Knowledge of industrial IoT, cloud computing, and distributed automation architectures.
• Proficiency in Agriware would be considered an asset.
