Location: Elgin, IL.
Pay Rate: $32.00 per hour/ 40 hours per week

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Industrial Automation Technician to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with computer-controlled systems, robotics, and automation equipment, as well as strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2–4 years of experience in industrial automation or a related field
  • Associate’s Degree in Automation Technology, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline (BS Degree preferred)
  • Proficiency in reading technical schematics, diagrams, and manuals
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of automation systems, robotics, and industrial machinery
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently

Responsibilities
  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot computer-controlled and robotic systems in an industrial setting
  • Provide immediate response to equipment malfunctions and escalate unresolved issues
  • Perform scheduled maintenance following TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) documentation
  • Conduct diagnostics to ensure system functionality and operational reliability
  • Interpret and apply diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer manuals during troubleshooting
  • Address issues in sensors, control components, pneumatics, and automation equipment
  • Install and commission new automation and robotic systems, including hardware upgrades
  • Program automation equipment and perform updates as required
  • Collect and enter data for root cause analysis, corrective actions, and scheduled maintenance
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on process improvements and change implementations
  • Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams
  • Assist machine operators with configurations, set-ups, and system adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with EHS policies and work procedures
  • Utilize technical knowledge in electronics, mechanics, and computers for problem-solving
