Position Scope: The Industrial Battery Technician reports to the Shipping & Receiving Department Head. This position will oversee the health and performance of our forklift fleet’s power systems, covering the full spectrum of battery care—from traditional lead-acid maintenance to high-tech lithium-ion troubleshooting. The industrial battery technician will maintain and repair current batteries, complete testing of battery systems, diagnosing faults, ensuring safety protocols, and providing technical support. This position will have a strong focus on preventative maintenance initiatives to prolong life of batteries.  Work Environment & Physical  * On-site in a warehouse / manufacturing environment. * Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. * Use of hand and power tools in a shop environment. * Lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods is required.  Qualifications & Experience: * Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. * Experience in automotive repair, heavy equipment maintenance, or a similar trade. * Previous experience operating a forklift. * Experience in repairing and maintaining batteries of various types, including lead-acid, lithium-ion, and nickel-cadmium. * Basic electrical troubleshooting experience is an asset.
