Currently, we are looking for an experienced Industrial Cleaner/Plant laborer, this is a combination role in HANNA, Alberta. This is a full-time, project based role.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• MUST pass a Pre-access Drug & Alcohol Test
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Must be a team player
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is preferred
• Must have reliable transportation, to get to site

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience in Janitorial is preferred
• Must be able to pass Energy Safety Canada - Confined Space training (provided)
• Previous experience in an Industrial setting is an asset
• MUST have strong working knowledge of WHMIS
• Strong work ethic is a must

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
• Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
• Empty trash cans and other waste containers
• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
• Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
• Clean and disinfect washrooms, common areas and fixtures
• May move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies.
• Maintains clean and sanitary conditions in all areas such as offices, washrooms, hallways
• Perform labour tasks, as required
• Perform Confined Space Attending, as required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE ROLE:

• Handling material manually
• Capable of lifting, climbing stairs & standing for long periods
• Bending or twisting the body
