Job Title: Industrial Cleaning Equipment Engineer

Location: Moulton Park Industrial Estate, Northampton NN3 6WL
Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per year (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (½ hour lunch)
Occasional overtime may be required to support operational demands

Role Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on, technically skilled Industrial Cleaning Equipment Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You’ll be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of specialist cleaning equipment, including ATEX-rated vacuums, high-reach pole kits, and accessories used across our sales, hire, and clean team operations.
This is a workshop-based role with occasional site visits, requiring a proactive mindset and a strong commitment to safety, precision, and turnaround efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on industrial vacuum systems and cleaning tools
  • Assemble and prepare pole kits and hire equipment to specification
  • Conduct routine maintenance, PAT testing, and safety inspections
  • Support equipment installations and commissioning for client sites
  • Maintain accurate service records and compliance documentation
  • Collaborate with operations to meet delivery deadlines and client expectations
  • Assist with product testing, quality assurance, and kit preparation
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and clients when required
  • Uphold ATEX standards and contribute to continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in electro-mechanical engineering (industrial equipment preferred)
  • Familiarity with ATEX compliance and safe working practices (training provided)
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read technical schematics and manuals
  • High attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Reliable, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
