Overview The Industrial Construction Superintendent plays a critical leadership role in delivering successful projects. This individual is responsible for overseeing field operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. As a key member of the project team, the Superintendent is involved from preconstruction through project closeout and contributes to team development and client relationships. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all daily on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and site cleanliness standards are met Collaborate with Project Managers during preconstruction to identify constructability issues and scope gaps Participate in scope development, subcontractor buyout, and project scheduling Develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy, including logistics, phasing, milestones, inspections, and financial goals Maintain and update project schedules in partnership with the Project Manager to reflect real-time progress and changes Ensure compliance with all owners, landlord, and local/state requirements to avoid delays and ensure safety and client satisfaction Monitor and enforce site safety procedures and regulations Manage subcontractors and vendors, fostering professional and positive working relationships Communicate effectively with the project team regarding changes, job conditions, and project direction Maintain and drive the punch list process to ensure timely project closeout Exceed client expectations by understanding and aligning with client needs, preferences, and culture Mentor and support the development of Assistant Superintendents and field staff Participate in company training and professional development initiatives Required Qualifications Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction, with a focus on industrial or base building projects Experience managing industrial construction projects ranging from $10M to $50M+ Experience with manufacturing, warehouse, or processing facility construction Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and cost control Thorough understanding of safety procedures and regulations Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, or similar) Solid computer and technology skills Preferred Qualifications OSHA 30 certification Experience managing projects $5M+ Experience working in active/occupied industrial environments Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and process-related scope.
